About the Photographer

Hi I'm Christy Daurie, owner of Heavens Edge Photography. I'm a mom to one daughter and a professional photographer based in Okotoks, Alberta, serving Okotoks Calgary and surrounding areas. I've been a professional photographer since 2004, specializing in family and graduation portraits, along with school photography, professional headshots, sports and dance photography.  I also continue to offer newborn and cakesmash session.

Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.  What started with a love of capturing the everyday moments of my own family, has grown into a career I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent more than 20 years doing. I'm always learning, creating, and looking for new ways to make each image better, and I truly love what I do.

My goal as a photographer is to capture the people, personalities, and moments that make your life yours. I want your images to feel natural, beautiful, and genuinely you.  Whether I'm photographing a family together, a graduating senior celebrating a huge milestone, a child growing through another stage, or one of life's special moments, I want your experience to be relaxed, comfortable, and fun.

I want to create images that fill your heart with warmth, make you smile every time you pass them, and tell a story about your life.  After more than two decades behind the camera, I still feel incredibly grateful that I get to be a part of so many special moments and turn them into memories you can carry with you for years to come.
